Description The Guntur Sannam Chili is a Capsicum annuum variety of chili pepper from India that produces 5-15cm long fruit with thick red skin that have a Scoville rating of 35,000 to 40,000 units (similar to Cayenne which is rated at 30,000 - 50,000 SHU). Guntur Sannam is one of the most famous types of chiles and a significant commercial crop in India. It is used in curries or dried into a powder. Plants require a warm, humid climate and can be grown in containers in less temperate regions.
