Description Pre-European potato from Aotearoa New Zealand. (Taewa) Yellow fleshed, yellow-skinned knobbly ugly looking Māori potato. Good for chips. Waxy when young and fluffy when mature. A good keeper with a buttery rich flavour. This potato is a creamy skinned, with a creamy coloured, very waxy flesh and deep eyes. It is a small, round, hard potato, excellent for potato salads, and steaming. Beautiful in a hāngī. Grow for five months.
