Description |
The Fatalii pepper is a Capsicum chinense cultivar created in southern or central Africa. The plant produces peppers with a fruity, citrus flavor and a Scoville rating of 125,000–325,000 units. They are as spicy as a Habanero, but the pepper's heat is felt immediately, whereas the Habanero's spiciness takes a little while to register. The peppers are 7-8cm long, tapered, and wrinkled. Different varieties are white, yellow, red, and brown. Brown Fatalli are the spiciest and sweetest. Like other hot peppers, Fatalli require a long, warm growing season. They can be grown indoors in containers in colder climates with shorter seasons.
